```This Privacy Policy describes how The Guilded Gauge ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use KnitConvert ("the App"). We are committed to being transparent about our data practices and protecting your privacy. By using the App you also agree to our Terms of Service.
The Guilded Gauge is an independent app studio. KnitConvert is our first product. You can contact us at hello@theguildedgauge.app with any privacy-related questions.
We collect only what is necessary to provide the service.
Pattern content — Patterns you paste or import are processed entirely on-device to perform gauge conversion. Pattern content is never transmitted to or stored on our servers. This is intentional — we respect the copyright of pattern designers and publishers.
Account information — If you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password via Supabase, our authentication provider.
Gauge and swatch data — Measurement data you enter is used locally on your device to perform conversions.
Subscription information — Subscription status and purchase history are managed by RevenueCat. We do not store payment card details.
AI lookups — When you use the AI abbreviation lookup feature, your query is sent to the Anthropic Claude API for processing. Queries are not stored by us beyond the active session.
Usage data — We may collect anonymised, aggregated usage analytics to improve the App. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.
We use the following third-party services to operate KnitConvert. Each acts as a data processor under our instruction:
We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.
Your account data is stored securely via Supabase on servers located in the United States. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest. Pattern content processed locally on your device is not transmitted to our servers.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at hello@theguildedgauge.app. We will action deletion requests within 30 days.

KnitConvert is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
